Are you an experienced product manager who loves to seek sophisticated and significant problems? The Single-Family Innovation Lab (iLab) is looking for a Product Manager to be part of its New Concepts Team to help innovate around some of the toughest challenges facing home financing. Be part of an entrepreneurial minded team composed of designers and lean product development practitioners, uncovering latent customer needs and iterating until you find product market fit. You will emphasize a lean approach to concept development, guided by the innovation targets set by Single-Family senior leadership. This role is for a builder with lean startup expertise that can work with designers, engineers and business specialists to build a compelling product vision and drive lean, agile incubation and commercialization process.
Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:
Lean Product Development
Assist in driving strategic concepts through a lean incubation process and, for successful concepts, transition to production product teams. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to scope, design, test, and iterate to product/market fit. Manage team to define and execute concept tests that de-risk innovation ideas against desirability, viability and feasibility criteria. Evaluate competitive landscape and establish right-to-win. Orchestrate day-to-day activities of a multidisciplinary team and prioritize features for MVP to scale product roadmaps. Support development and pitch of new concepts to senior management.
Innovation Sprint Management: Customer Insights
Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams through research – quantitative and ethnographic – and iterate to problem/solution fit. Collaborate with designers in the creation of user research plans, personas, journey maps, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, and visual design. Provide insights into product, technology, data and market trends and use inspiration to identify innovative solutions to partner problems.
Business Product Management
Develop Business Case analyses, forecasts, success metrics and Go-To-Market strategies for New Concepts incubated in the lab. Partner with Finance and industry specialists to research and develop investment analyses, distribution channel, branding, marketing and product integration strategies. Partner with fintechs and other industry participants where such partnerships support speed to market. Develop project plans.
