Position Overview

Freddie Mac’s Single Family Division is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Data) to implement tools and methods of risk evaluation as a member of the Credit Analytics and Reporting team.

Responsibilities include:
* Gather business requirements, develop and document business rules
* Manage business requirements document
* Develop Business User Acceptance test cases and data sets
* Perform data analysis as needed
* Solid understanding of business needs and detail requirements
* Develop test cases, test scripts and perform user acceptance testing for data application projects
* Gather and document Business Operational Readiness Review document
* Facilitate business requirements meetings and influence decisions
* Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
* Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions
* Collaborate with team members and interact across organizational lines to meet business objectives
* Review system requirements / spec to ensure business requirements are translated correctly
* Manage UAT testing



Qualifications

* 5+ years of related experience with data analysis with a combination of business and technical skills and SQL programming; 4+ years of SAS or similar programming and data mart/database/ETL experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or related field
* Prior experience working in the business area or closely/directly with business are to gather business requirements/rules logic and develop code
* Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent SAS, Unix and SQL programming skills
* Experience with database, data model and data warehouse concepts
* Loan Underwriting and Loan Funding application working knowledge or similar applications
* Loan Manufacturing process knowledge




Preferred Skills

* Mortgage industry experience or financial / credit analysis
* Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
* Excellent communication skills
