Position Overview

The Technology Office is responsible for modernizing Freddie Mac’s infrastructure, managing the environments and delivering solutions through tools and services. The Deputy CTO is seeking a Development Senior Tech Lead with focus on designing and delivering cloud solutions that transform our current technology state.

Responsibilities Include:

* Responsible for comprehensive cloud multi-year integration plan.
* Orchestrate transition and conversion approach that incorporates high-level process redesign, systems interfaces, data conversion and integration testing.
* Ensure systems and Finance business areas are cloud ready to manage to the end state transition.
* Deliver multiple, large cloud development efforts according to the multi-year integration plan.
* Develop partnerships with various Officers/Directors across IT and Business areas.
* Manage testing plans and key deliverables.
* Facilitate the multi-year business needs assessment and architecture design for Finance systems with the cloud strategy.
* Identify key success metrics for integration and delivery.
* Identify operational impacts of initiatives; report and initiate discussions on emerging risks in the Finance area.
* Implement and manage cloud development, prototyping, modeling and high level technical consulting.
* Perform “what-if” analysis to simulate network stress test and survivability.
* Predict effects of configuration changes, identify bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance.
* Lead cloud development efforts by applying advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
* Collaborate with leadership to develop innovative principles and ideas.
* Solve for unusually complicated problems and provide solutions that are highly creative and ingenious. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes.
* Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets. Work assignments are frequently self-initiated. Work verified through consultation and consensus with others rather than by formal review of superior.
* Serves as a consultant to top management in long-range company planning pertaining to new or projected areas of advancements.


* 10 plus years of mortgage finance experience with financial transaction processing systems
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
* Knowledge and experience of industry best practices and technology
* Established partnerships with best in class vendors
* Experience forecasting and budgeting strategic change initiatives and proven execution on plans
* Ability to form effective matrix relationships and drive results
* Successful project and program execution experience (including creation of business cases, formation of projects, and development of resource plans [matrixed and dedicated])
* Demonstrated consulting, influencing and negotiating skills
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to build relationships and collaborate at all levels
